FABULOSO ORGAN
As part of our partnership with Spilsby Sessions House, Different Light helped create the Fabuloso Organ, an interactive installation allowing the public to get creative! Originally funded by East Lindsey District Council as part of the Festive Fabuloso project in December 2021, local artist, sculptor, engineer and inventor Dave Cranmer, was commissioned to create this wonderful interactive sound sculpture, using recycled parts from an old church organ, that for many years had sat unused and neglected on the balcony of Spilsby Sessions House.
The highly visual spectacle is designed to be transportable and incorporates the latest technology to enable the public to operate the machine and create a musical soundscape. It requires just one 13A plug and comes with two Fabuloso staff to run it and engage with the public.
Since it was made the organ has appeared at a wide variety of arts and community events around Lincolnshire and beyond (including 10 dates across East Lindsey for Festive Fabuloso as well as Bourne Lights, Love Bolsover, Peterborough Celebrates and Spilsby Light Night) and is now available to hire and would make a brilliant addition to a wide variety of creative events and festivals.
